Covenant and promises

7 Og Han sa til ham: «Jeg er Herren, som førte deg ut fra Ur i Kaldea for å gi deg dette landet til eie.»

8 Men Abram sa: «Herre Gud, hvordan kan jeg vite at jeg skal eie det?»

Så sa Herren til ham: «Bring meg en tre år gammel kvige, en tre år gammel geit, en tre år gammel vær, en due og en ung due.»

10 Abram brakte alt dette til Ham, delte dem i to, og la halvdelene overfor hverandre; men han delte ikke fuglene.

11 Da kom rovfugler ned over skrottene, men Abram jaget dem bort.
