2 Abram hadde stor rikdom i buskap, sølv og gull.

3 Han reiste fra Negev så langt som til Betel, til stedet hvor hans telt hadde vært i begynnelsen, mellom Betel og Ai,

til stedet for alteret han hadde laget der før; og der påkalte Abram Herrens navn.

5 Lot, som reiste med Abram, hadde også flokker, hjorder og telt.

6 Men landet kunne ikke bære dem mens de bodde sammen, for deres eiendeler var så mange at de ikke kunne bo sammen.
