15 Kanaans førstefødte var Sidon, og han var også stamfar til hetittene,
16 jebusittene, amorittene og girgasittene,
hivittene, arkittene og sinittene,
18 arvadittene, semarittene og hamatittene. Senere ble kanaanittenes klaner spredt.
19 Grensene for Kanaan strakte seg fra Sidon mot Gerar så langt som til Gaza, og deretter mot Sodoma, Gomorra, Adma og Sebojim, så langt som til Lasa.
