40 De fant rikt og godt beite,
og landet var romslig, stille og fredelig;
for de som bodde der tidligere var hamitter.

41 Nå de som kom, oppført ved navn i dagene til Hiskia, konge av Juda, angrep deres telt og meunittene som ble funnet der, og de ødela dem fullstendig til denne dag, og bodde i deres sted, fordi det var beite der for deres flokker.
