23 Nå, Herre, la ordet som du har talt om din tjener og om hans hus bli bekreftet for alltid,
og gjør som du har talt.

24 La ditt navn bli bekreftet og bli stort for alltid,
og si, “Hærskarenes Herre er Israels Gud, til og med en Gud for Israel;
og din tjener Davids hus er grunnfestet foran deg.”

For du, min Gud, har åpenbart for din tjener at du vil bygge ham et hus;
derfor har din tjener funnet mot til å be foran deg.

26 Nå, Herre, du er Gud,
og du har lovet denne gode tingen til din tjener.

27 Og nå, du har vært fornøyd med å velsigne din tjeners hus,
så det kan fortsette for alltid foran deg;
for du, Herre, har velsignet, og det er velsignet for alltid.”
