David

23 Han drepte også en egypter, en mann av stor vekst, fem alen høy.
Nå var det i egypterens hånd et spyd som en veversbom,
men han gikk ned til ham med en stav
og rev spydet ut av egypterens hånd og drepte ham med hans eget spyd.

24 Disse gjerningene utførte Benaja, sønn av Jojada,
og han hadde et navn som de tre veldige mennene.

Han var æret blant de tretti,
men han nådde ikke opp til de tre.
Og David satte ham over sin livvakt.

26 Nå inkluderte de veldige mennene i hærene:
Asael, Joabs bror,
Elhanan, sønn av Dodo fra Betlehem,

27 Shammoth fra Harod, og Helez fra Pelon,
