25 Nadab, Jeroboams sønn, ble konge over Israel i det andre året av Asa, kongen av Juda, og han regjerte over Israel i to år.

26 Han gjorde det som var ondt i Herrens øyne, og fulgte i sin fars veier og i hans synd, som han ledet Israel inn i.

Da konspirerte Baesa, Ahijas sønn av Isakars hus, mot ham, og Baesa slo ham ved Gibbeton, som tilhørte filisterne, mens Nadab og hele Israel beleiret Gibbeton.

28 Slik drepte Baesa ham i det tredje året av Asa, kongen av Juda, og tok over tronen.

29 Og så snart han ble konge, slo han ned hele Jeroboams hus. Han lot ikke noen bli igjen av Jeroboam, men utryddet dem fullstendig, i samsvar med Herrens ord, som Han hadde talt gjennom sin tjener Ahia fra Sjilo,
