Josva 22,19

17 Var ikke Peors synd nok for oss, som vi ikke har renset oss fra den dag i dag, til tross for en plage på Herrens forsamling?

18 Og nå vender dere dere bort fra Herren. Hvis dere gjør opprør mot Herren i dag, vil Han i morgen bli vred på hele Israels samfunn.

Hvis landet deres er urent, så kom over til Herrens eiendomsland, hvor Herrens tabernakel står, og del landet med oss. Men gjør ikke opprør mot Herren eller mot oss ved å bygge et alter for dere selv, annet enn Herrens, vår Guds, alter.

20 Handlet ikke Akan, sønn av Serah, troløst med de viet ting, og vrede kom over hele Israels samfunn? Han var ikke den eneste som omkom for sin synd.'"
