25 «‘Jeg er imot deg, du ødeleggende fjell, Som ødelegger hele jorden,» sier Herren; «Og jeg vil strekke ut min hånd mot deg, Og rulle deg ned fra klippene, Og vil gjøre deg til et brent fjell.

26 Da vil ingen stein bli tatt Fra deg til et minnesmerke, Heller ikke vil du bli reist opp igjen, For jeg vil gjøre Babylon til en ødeleggelse for alltid.»

«Løft opp et banner i landet! Blås i trompeten blant folkene! Forbered nasjonene til kamp mot henne! Kall mot henne rikene, arameerne, gebalittene, Ammonittene og moabittene, mot henne, Folket av whobbeth og Thammuz, Mot henne, nasjonene av hele jordens overflate.

28 «‘Ja, samle sammen mot henne rikene av Ararat, Minni og Askenas; Utpek en bueskytter mot henne; Gi kommandoen om å ødelegge henne! Send hestene, sett dem i bevegelse! Gå opp, krigere, og pakk dere inn i deres skam!
