11 "Menn fra Galilea," sa de, "hvorfor står dere og ser opp mot himmelen? Denne samme Jesus, som er tatt opp fra dere til himmelen, vil komme tilbake på samme måte som dere har sett ham gå til himmelen."

12 Da vendte de tilbake til Jerusalem fra høyden kalt Oljeberget, som er nær Jerusalem, en sabbatsreise unna.

Da de kom dit, gikk de opp til rommet hvor de bodde. De som var til stede var Peter, Johannes, Jakob og Andreas; Filip og Tomas, Bartolomeus og Matteus; Jakob, sønn av Alfeus, Simon seloten, og Judas, sønn av Jakob.

14 Alle disse viet seg konstant til bønn, sammen med kvinnene, og Maria, Jesu mor, og med hans brødre.

15 I de dager sto Peter opp blant de troende (en gruppe på omkring 120 personer) og sa,
