47 For det er ikke et tomt ord for dere, men deres liv, og ved dette ordet skal dere leve lenge i det landet som dere krysser Jordan for å eie.”

“Gå opp på dette fjellet i Abarim, Nebo-fjellet, som er i Moabs land, rett overfor Jeriko, og se landet Kanaan, som jeg gir til Israels folk som en eiendom.
50 Og du skal gå bort på det fjellet du stiger opp på og samles til ditt folk, akkurat som din bror Aron gikk bort på Hor-fjellet og ble samlet til sitt folk,
51 fordi du brøt troen med meg blant Israels folk ved Meriba-Kadeshs vann, i Zins ørken, fordi du ikke holdt meg hellig blant Israels folk.
