5 Når det gjelder de andre gjerningene til Baesa, hans handlinger og hans styrke, er de ikke nedskrevet i Krønikeboken for Israels konger?

6 Og Baesa døde og ble begravet i Tirsa, og hans sønn Ela etterfulgte ham som konge.

Dessuten kom Herrens ord gjennom profeten Jehu, sønn av Hanani, også mot Baesa og hans hus, på grunn av alt det onde han gjorde i Herrens øyne, og vekket hans vrede med sine henders verk, ved å være som huset til Jeroboam, og fordi han slo det.

8 I det tjuesjette året av Asa, kongen av Juda, begynte Ela, sønn av Baesa, å regjere over Israel i Tirsa, og han regjerte i to år.

9 Men hans tjener Simri, kommandør over halvparten av hans vogner, konspirerte mot ham. Nå var Ela i Tirsa og drakk seg full i huset til Arsa, som hadde ansvar for husholdningen i Tirsa.
