Find your way in the Bible

Goal: The young people find their way around the Bible themselves: books, chapters, verses and translations.

Plan (60 min)

  1. 10 minWelcome and game. How many books do you think are in the Bible? Guess, then count together (66). How many are in the Old and the New Testament? Open
  2. 15 minTask: find verses. In pairs: find John 3:16, Psalm 23 and Ruth 1 without searching. Who was fastest, and what did you do? Open
  3. 15 minTwo translations. Open Psalm 23 in two translations side by side. What is the same, and what differs? Which do you prefer, and why? Open
  4. 10 minQuiz. Play the “Which book?” quiz together on a big screen. Open
  5. 10 minClosing. What became easier to find? What do you want to take home?

Homework

  • Homework: read one chapter of Mark and write down one question.
