18 De plaget hans føtter med lenker,
Han selv ble lagt i jern;

19 Inntil tiden da hans ord ble oppfylt,
Herrens ord prøvde ham.

Kongen kalte på ham og satte ham fri,
Folkenes hersker løslot ham.

21 Han satte ham til herre over sitt hus,
Og hersker over alle sine eiendeler,

22 For å binde hans tjenestemenn etter sin vilje,
Slik at han kunne lære hans eldste visdom.
