34 Jesus svarte, “Jeg sier deg, Peter, før hanen galer i dag, vil du nekte tre ganger at du kjenner meg.”
35 Så spurte Jesus dem, “Da jeg sendte dere uten pung, veske eller sandaler, manglet dere noe?” De svarte, “Ingenting.”
Han sa til dem, “Men nå, hvis du har en pung, ta den, og også en veske; og hvis du ikke har et sverd, selg kappen din og kjøp et.
37 For jeg sier dere, denne Skriften må oppfylles i meg: ‘Og Han ble regnet blant overtredere’; for det som er skrevet om meg er i ferd med å bli oppfylt.”
38 Disiplene sa, “Se, Herre, her er to sverd.” Han svarte, “Det er nok!”
Here the Bible tells a story about someone else. Ask yourself what it can say to us today. Do read the surrounding verses too, because the context often says more than a single verse.
