22 skal dere informere dem: 'Israel krysset Jordan på tørr grunn.'

23 For Herren deres Gud tørket opp vannet i Jordan foran dere til dere hadde krysset over, akkurat som Herren deres Gud gjorde med Rødehavet, som Han tørket opp foran oss til vi hadde krysset.

Han gjorde dette for at alle jordens folk skulle erkjenne at Herrens hånd er mektig, og for at dere alltid skal ære Herren deres Gud."
