31 Israel tjente Herren gjennom hele Josvas levetid og de eldste som overlevde ham og som hadde vært vitne til alle de gjerningene Herren hadde gjort for Israel.

Og Josefs ben, som israelittene hadde tatt med opp fra Egypt, ble begravet i Sikem på det jordstykket som Jakob kjøpte for hundre sølvstykker fra Hamors sønner, far til Sikem. Dette ble Josefs etterkommeres arv.

33 Og Eleasar, Arons sønn, døde og ble begravet i Gibea, som var gitt til hans sønn Pinehas i Efraims fjelland.
