10 Så befalte Josva folkets offiserer og sa:
11 "Gå gjennom leiren og gi folket denne beskjeden: 'Gjør i stand forsyningene deres, for om tre dager skal dere gå over Jordan for å ta i eie det landet Herren deres Gud gir dere.'"
Josva talte til rubenittene, gadittene og halve Manasses stamme,
13 "Husk det påbudet Moses, Herrens tjener, ga dere: 'Herren deres Gud gir dere et hvilested og vil gi dere dette landet.'
14 Deres koner, barn og buskap kan bli igjen i landet Moses ga dere øst for Jordan, men alle deres stridsdyktige menn, klare til kamp, må gå over foran deres israelittiske brødre og hjelpe dem,
