55 Selv om dere ikke kjenner Ham, kjenner Jeg Ham. Hvis Jeg sa at Jeg ikke gjorde det, ville Jeg være uærlig som dere, men Jeg kjenner Ham og adlyder Hans ord.
56 Deres far Abraham gledet seg over utsikten til å se Min dag; han så den og var glad.”
“Du er ikke engang femti år gammel,” sa de til Ham, “og sier Du har sett Abraham!”
58 “Sannelig, sannelig sier Jeg dere,” svarte Jesus, “før Abraham ble født, er Jeg!”
