Johannes 4,27

25 Kvinnen sa: «Jeg vet at Messias» (kalt Kristus) «kommer. Når han kommer, vil han forklare alt for oss.»

26 Da sa Jesus: «Jeg, som taler med deg — jeg er han.»

I det samme kom hans disipler tilbake og ble overrasket over at han snakket med en kvinne. Men ingen spurte: «Hva vil du?» eller «Hvorfor snakker du med henne?»

28 Kvinnen lot vannkrukken stå og gikk inn i byen og sa til folket:

29 «Kom og se en mann som har fortalt meg alt jeg har gjort. Kan dette være Messias?»
