20 Presten ble glad. Han tok efoden, husgudene og det utskårne bildet og gikk med folket.
21 De satte sine barn, buskap og eiendeler foran seg, og dro av sted.
Da de hadde gått et stykke fra Mikas hus, samlet mennene som bodde nær Mikas hus seg og innhentet danittene.
23 Mens de ropte etter dem, snudde danittene seg og sa til Mika: "Hva er i veien med deg siden du har kalt ut dine menn for å kjempe?"
24 Han svarte: "Dere har tatt gudene jeg laget og min prest, og har dratt av sted. Hva annet har jeg? Hvordan kan dere spørre: ‘Hva er i veien med deg?’"
