15 Manoah sa til Herrens engel: "Vær så snill å bli mens vi tilbereder en kje for deg."
16 Herrens engel svarte: "Selv om du holder meg tilbake, vil jeg ikke spise din mat. Men hvis du forbereder et brennoffer, ofre det til Herren." Manoah forsto ikke at det var Herrens engel.
Manoah spurte Herrens engel: "Hva er ditt navn, så vi kan ære deg når ditt ord blir oppfylt?"
18 Han svarte: "Hvorfor spør du mitt navn? Det er et mysterium."
19 Manoah tok en kje og et grødeoffer og ofret dem på en stein til Herren. Herren utførte under mens Manoah og hans kone så på.
