3 Da sa Juda til sin bror Simeon: «Bli med meg inn i det området som er tildelt meg, så vi kan kjempe mot kanaaneerne sammen; og jeg vil også gå med deg inn i ditt område.» Så Simeon gikk med ham.
4 Juda dro opp, og Herren overgav kanaaneerne og perisittene i deres hender, og de beseiret ti tusen menn ved Besek.
