Otniel, sønn av Kenaz, Kalebs yngre bror, erobret det; så Kaleb ga ham sin datter Aksa til ekte.
14 Da hun kom til Otniel, oppfordret hun ham til å be hennes far om et jorde. Da hun steg av eselet sitt, spurte Kaleb henne: «Hva ønsker du?»
15 Hun svarte: «Gi meg en velsignelse. Siden du har gitt meg land i Negev, gi meg også kilder med vann.» Så ga Kaleb henne de øvre og nedre kildene.
