41 'Se, dere spottere,
se i undring og forsvinn,
for jeg skal gjøre noe i deres dager
som dere aldri ville tro,
selv om noen fortalte dere det.'"

42 Da Paulus og Barnabas forlot synagogen, inviterte folket dem til å tale mer om disse tingene den neste sabbaten.

Da menigheten ble oppløst, fulgte mange av jødene og de gudfryktige omvendte til jødedommen Paulus og Barnabas, som talte med dem og oppfordret dem til å fortsette i Guds nåde.

44 Den neste sabbaten samlet nesten hele byen seg for å høre Herrens ord.

45 Da jødenes ledere så folkemengdene, ble de fylt med sjalusi. De begynte å motsi det Paulus sa og talte nedsettende mot ham.
