5. Mosebok 28,40

38 Du vil så mye såkorn i marken, men vil høste lite, fordi gresshopper vil fortære det.

39 Du vil plante vingårder og dyrke dem, men vil ikke drikke vinen eller samle druene, fordi ormer vil spise dem.

Du vil ha oliventrær over hele ditt land, men vil ikke bruke oljen, fordi olivenene vil falle av.

41 Du vil ha sønner og døtre, men vil ikke beholde dem, fordi de vil gå i fangenskap.

42 Svermer av gresshopper vil fortære alle dine trær og avlingene på ditt land.
