5. Mosebok 28,11

9 Herren vil etablere deg som Hans hellige folk, slik Han sverget til deg, hvis du holder Herrens din Guds bud og vandrer på Hans veier.

10 Da vil alle jordens folk se at du er kalt ved Herrens navn, og de vil frykte deg.

Herren vil gi deg stor velstand—i frukten av ditt morsliv, de unge av ditt buskap, og avlingene på din mark—i landet Han sverget til dine forfedre å gi deg.

12 Herren vil åpne himmelen, Hans overflods forrådshus, for å sende regn på ditt land i sesongen og for å velsigne alt arbeidet av dine hender. Du vil låne til mange nasjoner, men vil ikke låne fra noen.

13 Herren vil gjøre deg til hodet og ikke halen. Hvis du legger merke til Herrens din Guds bud som jeg gir deg denne dagen og følger dem nøye, vil du alltid være på toppen, aldri på bunnen.
