12 Men Gud sa til Bileam: «Du skal ikke gå med dem. Du må ikke forbanne folket, for de er velsignet.»
13 Bileam sto opp om morgenen og sa til Balaks tjenestemenn: «Vend tilbake til deres eget land, for Herren har nektet å la meg gå med dere.»
Moabs tjenestemenn vendte tilbake til Balak og rapporterte: «Bileam nektet å komme med oss.»
15 Balak sendte andre tjenestemenn, flere og mer ansette enn de første.
