5 Da falt Moses og Aron på sitt ansikt foran hele forsamlingen av israelittene som var samlet der.

6 Josva, Nuns sønn, og Kaleb, Jefunnes sønn, som var blant dem som hadde utforsket landet, rev i stykker klærne sine;

og de sa til hele forsamlingen av israelittene: “Landet vi gikk gjennom og utforsket er overmåte godt.

8 Hvis Herren finner velbehag i oss, vil Han føre oss inn i dette landet, et land som flyter med melk og honning, og gi det til oss.

9 Bare gjør ikke opprør mot Herren. Frykt ikke folkene i landet, for de vil bli vårt bytte. Deres beskyttelse er borte, og Herren er med oss. Frykt dem ikke.”
