41 Feir det som en høytid for Herren i syv dager hvert år. Dette skal være en varig forskrift for de kommende generasjoner; feir det i den syvende måneden.

42 Bo i midlertidige hytter i syv dager; alle innfødte israelitter skal bo i slike hytter,

slik at deres etterkommere kan vite at jeg lot israelittene bo i midlertidige hytter da jeg førte dem ut av Egypt. Jeg er Herren deres Gud.'"

44 Så kunngjorde Moses for israelittene Herrens fastsatte høytider.
