11 Magikerne klarte ikke å stå foran Moses på grunn av byllene, som rammet dem så vel som alle egypterne.

12 Men Herren forherdet faraos hjerte, og han lyttet ikke til Moses og Aron, akkurat som Herren hadde forutsagt til Moses.

Da sa Herren til Moses: «Stå opp tidlig om morgenen og still deg foran farao, og si til ham: ‘Dette er hva Herren, hebreernes Gud, erklærer: “La mitt folk gå, så de kan tjene meg,

14 ellers vil jeg denne gangen sende hele styrken av mine plager mot deg, dine embetsmenn og ditt folk, så du skal vite at det ikke er noen som meg på hele jorden.

15 For nå kunne jeg ha strukket ut min hånd og rammet deg og ditt folk med en plage som ville ha utslettet deg fra jorden.
