2. Mosebok 8,11

Nile

9 Moses sa til farao: «Jeg overlater til deg æren av å bestemme når jeg skal be for deg, dine embetsmenn og ditt folk, slik at froskene kan fjernes fra deg og dine hus, og bare bli igjen i Nilen.»

10 Farao svarte: «I morgen.» Moses sa: «Det skal bli som du sier, så du kan vite at det ikke er noen som Herren vår Gud.

Froskene vil forlate deg, dine hus, dine embetsmenn og ditt folk; de vil bare bli igjen i Nilen.»

12 Etter at Moses og Aron hadde forlatt farao, ropte Moses til Herren angående froskene han hadde påført farao.

13 Og Herren gjorde som Moses ba om. Froskene døde i husene, gårdsplassene og på markene.
