Moses
Praise and worshipHumility

6 Herren gikk forbi ham og ropte: «Herren, Herren Gud, barmhjertig og nådig, sen til vrede og rik på miskunn og sannhet,

7 som bevarer miskunn til tusener, tilgir misgjerning, overtredelse og synd. Men han lar ikke den skyldige være ustraffet, han hjemsøker fedrenes misgjerning på barna og barnebarna, til tredje og fjerde ledd.»

Moses bøyde seg straks til jorden og tilba.

9 Han sa: «Hvis jeg har funnet nåde i dine øyne, Herre, så la Herren gå med oss. Selv om dette er et stivnakket folk, tilgi vår misgjerning og vår synd, og gjør oss til din eiendom.»

10 Herren svarte: «Jeg oppretter en pakt. Foran hele ditt folk vil jeg gjøre under som aldri før er gjort i noe land i hele verden. Folket du lever blant, vil være vitne til de ærefryktinngytende gjerningene som jeg, Herren, vil utføre med deg.
