2. Mosebok 25,33

31 "Lag en lysestake av rent gull. Lysestaken, dens base og dens skaft, skal være laget av hamret arbeid; dens blomsterlignende skåler, knopper og blomster skal være i ett stykke med den.

32 Seks grener skal strekke seg ut fra sidene—tre på den ene siden og tre på den andre.

Hver gren skal ha tre skåler formet som mandelblomster med knopper og blomster, og dette designet skal være likt for alle seks grenene som strekker seg ut fra lysestaken.

34 Selve lysestaken skal ha fire skåler formet som mandelblomster med knopper og blomster.

35 En knopp skal være plassert under det første paret av grener som strekker seg ut fra lysestaken, en annen knopp under det andre paret, og en tredje knopp under det tredje paret—til sammen seks grener.
