Hezekiah

18 Så gikk de inn til kong Hiskia og sa, «Vi har renset hele Herrens hus, brennofferalteret med alle dets redskaper, og skuebrødsbordet med alle dets redskaper.

19 Videre, alle redskapene som kong Akas hadde kastet bort under sin regjeringstid i sin troløshet, har vi forberedt og innviet; og se, de er foran Herrens alter.»

Da sto kong Hiskia tidlig opp og samlet byens fyrster, og gikk opp til Herrens hus.

21 De brakte sju okser, sju værer, sju lam og sju geitebukker som syndoffer for riket, helligdommen og Juda. Og han instruerte prestene, Arons sønner, om å ofre dem på Herrens alter.

22 Så slaktet de oksene, og prestene tok blodet og sprengte det på alteret. De gjorde det samme med værene og sprengte blodet på alteret; så gjorde de det samme med lammene og sprengte blodet på alteret.
