BaalJehu

18 Så samlet Jehu alt folket og sa til dem, “Ahab tjente Ba’al litt; Jehu vil tjene ham mye.

19 Nå, kall til meg alle profetene til Ba’al, alle hans tilbedere og alle hans prester; la ingen mangle, for jeg har et stort offer for Ba’al; den som mangler skal ikke leve.” Men Jehu handlet svikefullt, for å eliminere Ba’als tilbedere.

Og Jehu sa, “Hellig en høytidelig forsamling for Ba’al.” Så proklamerte de det.

21 Så sendte Jehu ord over hele Israel, og alle Ba’als tilbedere kom, slik at det ikke var noen igjen som ikke kom. Da de gikk inn i Ba’als hus, var Ba’als hus fylt fra den ene enden til den andre.

22 Og han sa til den som hadde ansvaret for garderoben, “Bring ut klær for alle Ba’als tilbedere.” Så han brakte ut klær for dem.
