Sifittene kom til Saul i Gibea og sa, “Holder ikke David seg skjult på Hakilahøyden, som ligger rett overfor Jesjimon?”

2 Da satte Saul av sted og dro til Sifs ørken, med seg hadde han tre tusen utvalgte menn fra Israel, for å lete etter David i Sifs ørken.

3 Saul slo leir på Hakilahøyden, som ligger rett overfor Jesjimon, ved veien. Men David ble værende i ørkenen, og han så at Saul hadde kommet etter ham ut i ørkenen.
