David

6 Saul hørte på Jonathans ord og avla en ed: “Så sant Herren lever, David skal ikke bli drept.”

7 Da kalte Jonathan på David og fortalte ham alle disse ordene. Jonathan brakte David til Saul, og han var i hans nærvær som før.

Da det igjen var krig, dro David ut og kjempet mot filisterne og beseiret dem med stort mannefall, slik at de flyktet for ham.

9 Nå kom en ond ånd fra Herren over Saul mens han satt i sitt hus med spydet i hånden, og David spilte harpe med sin hånd.

10 Saul prøvde å feste David til veggen med spydet, men han slapp unna Sauls nærvær, slik at han stakk spydet i veggen. David flyktet og slapp unna den natten.
