1 Nå samlet filisterne sine hærer til kamp, og de samlet seg ved Soko, som tilhører Juda; og de slo leir mellom Soko og Aseka, i Efes-Dammim.
2 Saul og Israels menn samlet seg og slo leir i Ela-dalen, og stilte seg opp i slagorden for å møte filisterne.
