13 Etter å ha fullført sin profetiske tale, gikk han opp til offerhaugen.
14 Sauls onkel sa til ham og til hans tjener: "Hvor gikk dere?" Og han sa: "For å lete etter eslene. Da vi så at de ikke var å finne, gikk vi til Samuel."
Sauls onkel spurte: "Vær så snill å fortelle meg hva Samuel sa til dere."
16 Saul sa til sin onkel: "Han fortalte oss rett ut at eslene var funnet." Men han fortalte ham ikke om saken om kongedømmet som Samuel hadde snakket om.
17 Da kalte Samuel folket sammen for å samles for Herren i Mispa.
