6 Noah var seks hundre år gammel da vannflommene begynte å dekke jorden.
7 Og Noah og hans sønner, hans kone og hans sønners koner gikk med ham inn i arken for å unnslippe vannene fra flommen.
Par av både rene og urene dyr, sammen med fugler og alle skapninger som beveger seg langs bakken,
9 kom til Noah og gikk inn i arken, hann og hunn, slik Gud hadde befalt Noah.
10 Og det skjedde etter syv dager at vannene fra flommen kom over jorden.
