8 Fra gadittene kom tapre menn over til David i festningen i ørkenen,
mektige menn av mot, menn trent for krig,
som kunne håndtere skjold og spyd,
og hvis ansikter var som løvenes ansikter,
og de var raske som gaseller på fjellene.
