48 Ved Samlas død, etterfulgte Sjaul fra Rehobot ved elven ham som konge.

49 Etter Sjauls død, tok Baal-Hanan, sønn av Akbor, tronen.

Da Baal-Hanan døde, ble Hadad konge; hans by ble kalt Pai, og hans kone var Mehetabel, datter av Matred, datter av Mesahab.

51 Så døde Hadad. Og høvdingene i Edom var: høvding Timna, høvding Alja og høvding Jetet,

52 høvding Oholibama, høvding Ela og høvding Pinon,
