Nathan

20 Og du, min herre kongen, alle Israels øyne er på deg, for å fortelle dem hvem som skal sitte på tronen til min herre kongen etter ham.

21 Ellers vil det skje, når min herre kongen legger seg med sine fedre, at jeg og min sønn Salomo vil bli ansett som forbrytere.”

Nå mens hun fortsatt talte med kongen, kom Natan, profeten, inn.

23 Og de fortalte kongen og sa, “Se, Natan, profeten, er her.” Og han kom inn for kongen og kastet seg ned for kongen med ansiktet mot jorden.

24 Og Natan sa, “Min herre kongen, har du sagt, ‘Adonja skal være konge etter meg, og han skal sitte på min trone’?
