ArabahJesjimotSaltsjøenKinneret-sjøen

1 Dette er kongene i landet som israelittene beseiret, og hvis territorium de tok i besittelse på den andre siden av Jordan mot soloppgangen, fra Arnon-ravinen til Hermon-fjellet, inkludert hele den østlige Arabah:

2 Sihon, amorittenes konge, som bodde i Hesjbon. Han hersket fra Aroer ved kanten av Arnon-ravinen—fra midten av ravinen—og halve Gilead, helt til Jabbok-elven, som er grensen til ammonittene.

Han hersket også over den østlige Arabah fra Kinneret-sjøen til Arabah-sjøen (det vil si Saltsjøen), østover til Bet-Jesjimot, og sørover nedenfor skråningene av Pisga.

4 Og territoriet til Og, kongen av Basan, en av de siste av refaittene, som bodde i Asjtarot og Edrei.

5 Han hersket over Hermon-fjellet, Salka, hele Basan til grensen av gesjurittene og maakatittene, og halve Gilead til grensen av Sihon, kongen av Hesjbon.
