2. Mosebok 8,3

Nilen

1 Da talte Herren til Moses: «Gå til farao og si til ham: ‘Dette er hva Herren erklærer: La mitt folk dra, så de kan tjene meg.

2 Men hvis du nekter å la dem dra, vil jeg bringe en plage av frosker over hele ditt land.

Nilen vil vrimle av frosker, som vil komme opp og gå inn i ditt palass, ditt soverom og din seng, og inn i husene til dine embetsmenn og ditt folk, og inn i dine ovner og baketrau.

4 Froskene vil invadere deg, ditt folk og alle dine embetsmenn.’»

5 Da sa Herren til Moses: «Instruer Aron: ‘Rekk ut din hånd med staven over elvene, bekkene og dammene, og la frosker komme opp over landet Egypt.’»
