25 Slik gikk David, med Israels eldste og høvedsmennene over tusener,
for å føre opp Herrens paktsark
fra Obed-Edoms hus med glede.
26 Og fordi Gud hjalp levittene som bar Herrens paktsark,
ofret de syv okser og syv værer.
Nå var David kledd i en kappe av fint lin sammen med alle levittene
som bar arken, og sangerne og Kenanja, lederen for sangen med sangerne.
David bar også en lin efod.
28 Så førte hele Israel Herrens paktsark opp med rop,
og med lyden av horn, med trompeter, med høytlydende cymbaler,
med harper og lyrer.
29 Og da Herrens paktsark kom til Davids by,
så Mikal, Sauls datter, ut av vinduet og så kong David hoppe og feire;
og hun foraktet ham i sitt hjerte.
