11 Den skinte med Guds herlighet, og dens glans var som en meget kostbar stein, som en jaspis, klar som krystall.
12 Den hadde en stor og høy mur med tolv porter, og ved portene var det tolv engler. På portene var skrevet navnene på Israels tolv stammer.
Det var tre porter på hver side: øst, nord, sør og vest.
14 Byens mur hadde tolv grunnsteiner, og på dem var navnene på Lammets tolv apostler.
