2. Kongebok 13,12

10 I det trettisjuende året til Joasj, kongen av Juda, ble Joasj, sønn av Joahaz, konge over Israel i Samaria, og han regjerte i seksten år.

11 Han gjorde det som var ondt i Herrens øyne; han vendte seg ikke bort fra alle syndene til Jeroboam, Nebats sønn, som fikk Israel til å synde, men vandret i dem.

Nå er resten av gjerningene til Joasj og alt han gjorde, og hans styrke som han kjempet med mot Amasja, kongen av Juda, er de ikke skrevet i Krønikerboken til Israels konger?

13 Så la Joasj seg til hvile med sine fedre, og Jeroboam satte seg på hans trone; og Joasj ble begravd i Samaria med Israels konger.

14 Da Elisja ble syk med sykdommen som han skulle dø av, kom Joasj, kongen av Israel, ned til ham og gråt over ham og sa, “Min far, min far, Israels vogner og ryttere!”
