25 Da Metusjalah var 187 år, fikk han Lamek.
26 Etter Lamek ble født, levde Metusjalah i 782 år og fikk andre sønner og døtre.
Så alle de dager Metusjalah levde var 969 år, og så døde han.
28 Da Lamek var 182 år, fikk han en sønn.
29 Han kalte ham Noah, og sa: "Han skal trøste oss i vårt arbeid og våre henders slit forårsaket av jorden Herren har forbannet."
